GunRightsPolicies.org is a publication of Telum Associates, LLC, owned and managed by John and Ling Snyder. Both are proponents of the individual Second Amendment civil right of law-abiding American citizens to keep and bear arms. They regard the right of self-defense and the ability to own and use firearms in self-defense as integral to the Judaeo-Christian heritage of personal and public morality.
John and Ling regard respect for and adherence to traditional public morality as the milieu within which respect for the right to self-defense and respect for the right to keep and bear arms may most likely take root and flourish. They regard the right of self-defense and the right to keep and bear arms as part and parcel of the right to life itself.
As practicing Catholics, they are faithful to the Magisterium, but regard certain non-magisterial attempts to interfere in public issues as inimical to Catholic doctrine. They think such interference undermines genuine magisterial authority.
John is a former seminarian who spent over a year in a Jesuit novitiate and maintains an active interest in theological issues.
