WASHINGTON, D.C. – “Americans with firearms bust up home invasions,” gun law expert John M. Snyder said here today.
“Guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens save lives,” he added. “Shame on those who would use criminality with firearms by some as an excuse for upending the gun rights of all Americans.”
Snyder’s been named the senior rights activist in Washington, D.C. by Shotgun News and the Gun Dean by Human Events.
“Just recently a woman in Fort Worth, Texas shot a bedroom intruder at about 3:30 on a Thursday morning, according to news reports,” Snyder noted.
“Events like this occur over and over in all parts of the country,” he added. “Surveys indicate law-abiding citizens use guns millions of times a year for defensive purposes in the United States.
“That may be one of the reasons over 90 percent of the sheriffs and chiefs of police in the USA believe law-abiding citizens have the right to obtain firearms for self-defense, according to survey information from the National Association of Chiefs of Police.”
