WASHINGTON, D.C. – Gun rights expert John M. Snyder interviewed Dick Heller following the convention of Students for Concealed Carry (SCCC) Monday at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
Heller was the victor in the 2008 DC v. Heller landmark pro-gun Supreme Court ruling.
Snyder is the Gun Dean, according to Human Events.
In the Heller case, the Supreme Court declared that the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms is an individual right, and not a collective right, as had been claimed by gun grabbers.
The Court declared unconstitutional a District of Columbia law that prohibited DC residents in effect from possessing handguns.
The chief attorney for the plaintiff was Alan Gura.
Heller and Snyder discussed the significance of the decision and its implications.
Heller said he was gratified by the gun rights enthusiasm displayed during the SCCC gathering, which was sponsored by the Second Amendment Foundation.
Snyder said, “The gun grabbers are on the wrong side of history.”
